TA Studio offers the test manager complete test management workflow over the operational test automation lifecycle:
Test configuration: projects, scenarios, modules, etc. as well as test execution takes place here.
Test execution: all test modules and eggplant components are controlled via TA Studio.
Test evaluation: all results including analyses and statistics are centrally available.
Modules in TA Studio
TA Studio offers complete organization & operation, function libraries, and best practices via a central GUI
TA Studio provides an administration interface that can be used to call available test administration objects and adjust the test execution configuration. User administration allows all participants to be assigned to their projects. Different tests can be created and configured in each project. All project-relevant information can be edited in a dedicated area and adapted to current requirements.
The KIG libraries and EEP parameters are method extensions and functional simplifications for scripting with eggplant. In addition to implemented standard functionality, eggplant scripts are provided with "parameter handling" to map complex operations and checks that accelerate and improve the creation of tests.
The KIG repository is the backbone of TA Studio. It is based on a relational database in which the relevant information from test parameters and test results to the hardware and software information of all test clients (SUTs) is managed. The KIG repository provides data for the tests and is the basis for reports, statistics and analyses in the area of evaluation.
The KIG libraries are based on best practices and are the principal function blocks for achieving performance, maintainability, reusability, robustness, and simplification when creating test case scripts with eggplant. In addition to ready-made functions and the development framework, "parameter handling" is also available to map operations and checks variably. Configuration can be carried out directly in TA Studio before and during operative test execution in order to be able to design the test runs in a highly flexible manner.
In order to be able to establish the assignment between tests performed and system information of the actual SUT (system under test), relevant hardware and software information on a test machine (SUT) is obtained in TA Studio. The test results and their associated SUT data (hardware and software configuration) are available in an audit-compliant form.
